Jasmine Chen, a graduating senior from Mission San Jose High School, is this year’s recipient of the Elaine Arnt Outstanding Citizen Scholarship.  This is the 10th year Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Realtor Elaine Arnt has presented the $1,000 award to a college-bound Mission senior who successfully balances school achievement with community service, work experience and extracurricular school activities.

Jasmine plans to study nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. She has been a leader and role model at her school where, as CEO of the Tri City Band Corps, she raised the funds necessary to grow the organization and enable more students to pursue their passion for music.  She is an AP Scholar, a volunteer at several health-related community agencies, a tutor for children, a band member, co-captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, and a member of the national champion squad in competitive cheerleading.

Elaine, whose two sons graduated from Mission San Jose High School, says she created the scholarship to encourage a young person whose activities benefit both the school and the wider community.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Fremont is located at 3340 Walnut Ave. Ste. 110 and may be reached at 510.608.7600.  Elaine may be reached directly at 510.701.7616 or Elaine@ElaineArnt.com.
