Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the leading real estate services company in Northern California, announced today that it has expanded its Sacramento and Lake Tahoe area offices with the hiring of 76 real estate professionals during the first quarter of 2011.
The recent hiring surge is designed to meet increasing demand from home buyers and sellers in the local area. In all, the Sacramento-Tahoe area offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage have grown more than 11 percent since the beginning of the year, to 750 agents. In all, the new agents were responsible for more than $176 million in sales volume at their previous companies over the past year.
One of the largest office expansions has been the company’s Elk Grove office, where Coldwell Banker has added 27 sales professionals, including 10 top producing agents from Lyon Real Estate and six from The Members Group, Inc. In all, the move expands the Elk Grove office by more than 30 percent to 115 sales professionals.
“We’ve added a tremendous amount of talent to our Sacramento-Tahoe offices,” said Kris Vogt, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “In this challenging market, both new and seasoned agents say they’re opting to join us because of the marketing strength, advanced technology, far-reaching networking opportunities, and long-term career stability that come with being the number one real estate company in the world.”
Vogt said the agent growth has been critical as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage works to meet growing customer demand for its homebuyer and home sales services in the Sacramento area. During the first three months of 2011, the company’s sales volume has soared 19 percent from a year ago – during a period when the overall market saw a drop in sales volume.
Jeff Talani, manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Elk Grove, said Coldwell Banker’s increasing success in the Sacramento area is creating lots of interest from agents at other brokerages.
“It’s been an exciting few months for our office,” Talani said. “We’ve welcomed some of the top agents in local real estate. Where we may have once been competitors, we are now working together as a solid team. The addition of new ideas and talents has added a creative and stimulating new energy to our office.”
Elk Grove isn’t alone in adding to its sales team. Thirteen of the company’s 16 Sacramento/Tahoe regional offices have also increased the number of agents since the beginning of the year.
Vogt said by expanding operations and agent ranks in the Sacramento area, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has raised its level of customer service. “Agents are working together, learning by sharing experiences, and bouncing ideas off one another in order to provide the best possible service to our buyers and sellers,” he said. “I’m looking forward to continuing on this path of growth and expansion.”
